After completing a PhD thesis on photo stylization using machine learning and AI, Yifei pursued a Master's of Art in Photography and began his career as a professional photographer.
As a photographer whose philosophy is rooted in Existentialism and Stoicism, Yifei holds the view that documentary photography is the last bastion of artistic photography in the era of generative AI.
